CAUTION: Benches are incredibly heavy, particularly in the larger sizes. Never lift them by yourself or by bending forward at the waist. It is possible to damage the table by tightening the bolts extremely tightly or by rolling the bench over onto its feet without lifting most of the weight.
Instructions for the mechanically gifted:
Any two parts that attach together have the fasteners already there in place. Simply remove the fasteners, move the parts together and replace the fasteners. If you have a problem, read-on or call our customer service at 800-743-1318.
Instructions for the rest of us:
Legs-to-Frame: Bolts and lock washers have already been loosely assembled into the legs. Remove the bolts, position the legs and reinsert bolts through frame hole into leg holes. Don’t turn the bench over yet!
Drawers: Remove the two metal to metal attaching fasteners from the “Z bracket”. (Already attached to the bench under side). Pull drawer housing forward to slip into position. Slide top drawer open (a little) to expose two holes. Insert bolts with lock washers through holes and into holes in the “Z bracket”. Tighten.
Center Position Footrest: Remove the bolts from the ends of the tube. Position footrest between the leg cross members with its ends covering the holes. Insert bolts with washer, tighten. A socket wrench is required. Snap black hole plugs into place.
Adjustable Footrest: Remove fasteners. Position footrest tube ends resting on top of, or beneath the leg cross member at desired position. Use bolt and knob to secure in place.
CPU Holder: Position holder as desired. Remove fasteners from attached bag. Attach with drill motor and a #3 phillips drive bit included.
- You are done on the bottom of the bench. Its time to turn it over.
Uprights: Remove screws from holes in bench top. Position the holes in the uprights over the holes in the bench top. These holes are slightly oversize to allow the alignment of the uprights after lights, shelves and bin-box rails have been added. Insert screws from top, then attach nuts and washers loosely. Tighten nuts more after you are satisfied with the alignment.
Articulating Products & Utility Bracket: Determine the position desired. Slide these over the tops of the uprights and tighten them at the desired height. To stop the outer tubes from scratching the upright, place a poly bag or piece of paper between them.
Shelves & Cabinets: Position shelf brackets’ tabs in outside row of slots at desired height, with top horizontal flanges facing inward. Tap lightly on top of bracket near the uprights to lock into uprights. Place shelf or cabinet over brackets, allowing factory assembled screws to drop into the holes in the brackets. Slide screw heads into bracket slots and tighten.
Light Frame: Slide the brackets over the top of uprights. Tighten where desired.
Light-to-Frame:
Unscrew nylon nut from end of screws. Insert nut into hole in top of light fixture. Now insert screws with washers through holes in the light frame. Align with screws with the hole in plastic fastener. Tighten until firm but not tight.
Bin Box Rail to Upright: Position attaching tabs in slots at desired height. Tap lightly on top of rail near the uprights to lock.
Power Strip:
Series A, and G: Position power strip as desired. Attach using “fasteners - Series A&G”.
Series E: These mount between uprights. Remove fasteners from both ends. After uprights are in place, insert the knobs through the holes in the side of the uprights, then through the thick nylon washers provided, and into the ends of the power strips. Tighten lightly, as these power strips need to rotate.
